Senior Director, International Programs
Peter is responsible for managing activities designed to increase demand for U.S. peanuts and peanut products worldwide. In this capacity, he oversees generic trade and consumer promotions in existing and emerging export markets for the U.S. peanut industry. His duties also include overseeing global technical work related to pesticide/heavy metal regulations that impact worldwide shipments of U.S. peanuts and may threaten market access.
Prior to joining APC in 2016, Peter served as export market coordinator for the American Pistachio Growers, a voluntary trade association representing growers and processors in California, Arizona and New Mexico. He also spent time working as an intern trade assistant for the U.S Commercial Service, which acts as the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the George Washington University. He grew up on a family farm in Central California.
