Director of Finance
As the director of finance for the American Peanut Council, Renee’s work is critical to the organization’s export promotion program, as well as APC’s operating budget and financial health. She has been in this role for more than 20 years.
A major area of focus for Renee’s work is verifying that the organization is in compliance with all government regulations and expenditures related to APC-utilized export programs, including the Market Access Program, the Foreign Market Development program, the Agricultural Trade Promotion grant and the Emerging Markets Program. She is responsible for the year-end audit, which is crucial for APC to receive government funding to carry out its export work. Importantly, during 2019-2020, Renee worked on the development of a sustainable paperless system to maintain expenses allocated to the above programs. The Agriculture Department recognized this achievement and asked APC to present the platform during the U.S. Agricultural Export Development Council meeting.
Prior to coming to APC, Renee was a senior accountant for the CPA firms Reitberger, Pollekoff, & Kozak and Crutchley, Marginot, & Tosi. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland University College.
